THYBLATE in Panama: launch and first thyroid radiofrequency ablation cases

Panama hosted the THYBLATE™ launch and its first clinical cases, bringing together specialists interested in thyroid radiofrequency ablation and minimally invasive program development.

THYBLATE is a radiofrequency system for focused ablation of selected thyroid tissue. Under ultrasound guidance, the specialist positions an electrode inside the nodule and controls thermal energy delivery throughout the procedure.

The program included training and clinical support with Dr. Bat-Ireedui, who traveled from Mongolia to share technical experience with local teams.

Radiofrequency ablation may be considered for selected benign thyroid nodules after specialist assessment. Diagnosis, cytologic confirmation when applicable and case selection remain essential.

Introducing THYBLATE requires coordination among specialists, ultrasound resources, safety protocols and clinical follow-up. Operator training supports orderly integration into the care pathway.

Availability, indications and outcomes may vary by case and jurisdiction. Use must follow manufacturer instructions, applicable regulation and the judgment of trained professionals.
